The day we found out.

I will never forget the day that we found out we were having you. After many calls and text from your Aunt Lacey and Aunt Jaimee as to rather or not mother nature had paid her visit I decided that it wasn't normal for me to a be a day or two late so I got a test. I anxiously waited until the next morning to take the test. Your dad was still asleep when I took the test and I couldn't believe my eyes. I went and jumped on the bed, read the instructions to him and told him what the pregnancy test showed and asked him if he thought I was reading it right. He said ever so calmly and lethargically yes you are pregnant. I think my face could of cracked from the huge smile I had. It was so surreal. Your dad just stayed in bed and if I remember correctly went back to sleep until his alarm went off. I think he was in shock. What made this day even more special was that it was the first day of the school year. I will never forget the date of the first day of my second year of teaching. On August 17th, 2010 I started my new job and found out that a little miracle was growing inside me. I was still in shock all day. I remember calling the doctor that day to make an appointment and it was so hard for me to say that I was pregnant because it just still seemed like a dream. As the weekend came upon us and I didn't have a beer with our friends they started to put two and two together. So needless to say our friends found out pretty fast. Some of them tried to warn me not to get my hopes up until I went to the doctor They we telling me that sometimes test lye. But by this point I knew my body well enough to know that a whole week had passed and still no visit from mother nature and the second test also said you were in there growing. The first day of school this year was probably one of the best first day of schools a teacher could ask for. Now we are anxiously (not much patience any more) awaiting your arrival. We can't wait to find out what you are and kiss you all over (especially your dad since he doesn't get to feel your kicks of love).
